NFTA delegation called on the Ambassador Shafiqur Rahman in Nepal

This afternoon, a delegation comprising members of the Executive Committee of Nepal Foreign Trade Association (NFTA), led by the President of the Association Mr. Shiv Kumar Agarwal and Secretary General, Mr. Jayant Kumar Agrawal called on the Ambassador Md. Shafiqur Rahman in the Embassy premises.

The delegation briefed the Ambassador on the initiatives and activities of the NFTA in facilitating Nepal's foreign trade with different countries including Bangladesh. During the meet, the Ambassador shared his perspectives and views on the potentials and challenges facing the bilateral trade between the two countries and impressed upon the means and ways to overcome the challenges in facilitating enhanced business and trade between the two countries. He urged the Nepali side to explore, identify and grab the opportunities from mutual trade collaboration for greater benefits of the two countries. He mentioned that the Embassy would act as a bridge to connect the businesses and entrepreneurs of the two countries. He also assured them of extending full support from the Embassy to support the business collaboration through enhanced contact and interactions between people to people (P2P) and business to business (B 2 B) connectivity.

The First Secretary (Trade, Promotion and Culture) and Counsellor (Political) and Deputy Chief of the Embassy were also present during the meeting.
