Khaleda Zia laid to eternal rest

Former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was laid to eternal rest with state honours beside the grave of her husband, martyred president Ziaur Rahman, at Zia Udyan in Dhaka. She was buried at around 4:30pm after her namaz-e-janaza. The namaz-e-janaza of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban today. The prayer began at 3:02pm. The khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque led the janaza, while BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan conducted the proceedings.
