Asif Nazrul shares good news from his Saudi visit

Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Adviser Prof Dr Asif Nazrul today said he received some good news 
from his official visit to Saudi Arabia.
 
In a facebook post from his verified account, he shared details about his visit saying in Riyadh, he had a meeting with the Saudi Arabian Minister of Human Resources and the Minister of Finance.
 
Asif Nazrul also met with the ministers of Qatar and Oman.
 
Asif Nazrul said Saudi Arabia has promised to oversee more strictly the responsibility of employers regarding Bangladeshis living there without Iqama and said it will consider sending the employment contracts to the workers in Bangladesh in advance and Bangladesh will verify the certificates of professionals.
 
Oman has promised to legalize the stay of all Bangladeshis there and will quickly recruit people from Bangladesh, he said adding Qatar has also made various promises.
 
All are only promises so far, he said adding however, they seem sincere.
 
"We will follow up to ensure that the issues progress," he said.
The adviser said some people abroad have complained to him about air fares.
"This is not a matter for my ministry, but I will sit down with the aviation authorities for a day or two".
 
Asif Nazrul also attended meetings with about twenty big employment companies in Saudi Arabia and Bangladeshi remittance fighters abroad.
