BD envoy discusses bilateral issues with Malaysia's Sabah Governor

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Md Shameem Ahsan has met with Dr Haji Juhar bin Datuk Haji Mahiruddin, governor of Sabah, Malaysia.

The governor warmly welcomed the envoy. Both the envoy and the governor expressed satisfaction over the strong bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Malaysia, according to a statement received on Friday.

They discussed issues of mutual interest in a cordial atmosphere, emphasizing the need for closer collaboration between the Governor's office and the High Commission for mutually beneficial engagements.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by Syed Shariful Islam, Counsellor (Labour), Farhana Ahmed Chowdhury, Counsellor (Political), and Pranab Kumar Ghosh, First Secretary (Commerce).

The Bangladesh envoy also met with Sabah's Minister of Finance Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun, and his deputy, where they discussed enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, as well as the welfare of expatriate Bangladeshis in Sabah.

The High Commissioner thanked the Minister for the warm reception and his readiness to support initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between the Minister's office and the High Commission.
