On September 7 and 9, the United
States provided emergency medical and training equipment to the Bangladesh
Coast Guard in Chattogram and Teknaf, strengthening BCG’s first-line medical
response and disaster relief capabilities. Delivered through the Overseas
Humanitarian Assistance Shared Information System (OHASIS) project, the
donation includes 120 fully stocked trauma response bags and 21 CPR training
mannequins for Coast Guard personnel across the region. This effort builds on
longstanding U.S. support for Bangladesh's Coast Guard and humanitarian
response capacity, advances mutual security cooperation and empowers capable
partners in the Pacific.
