27 March 2025, the Russian House in Dhaka in cooperation with the Liberation War Academy Foundation and the Russ-Bangla Kollayan Trust organized an event to commemorate the 54th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence.
The Ceremony started with a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of all the brave martyrs of the Great Liberation War and a solemn salute to the honorable Soviet Navy for their dedicated efforts in clearing mines from Chittagong and Mongla ports.
In his welcoming speech, Director of the Russian House in Dhaka P. Dvoichenkov emphasized the historical friendly role of Russia in the Great Liberation War for the independence of Bangladesh and the overall development of post-war Bangladesh.
