Ambassador Shafiqur Rahman attended the inaugural session of GAN's AGM in Kathmandu

Upon invitation from the President of the Garment Association of Nepal (GAN),  Md. Shafiqur Rahman, Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal attended the inaugural session of the 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at a local hotel in Kathmandu yesterday. He was warmly welcomed in the event which provided him with an opportunity to interact and network with some of the leading RMG businesses and exporters.

On the sideline talks, Ambassador Shafiqur Rahman exchanged ideas and views with the exporters over the prospects and challenges facing Nepal's RMG export to the USA in the new and changed Tariff landscape. They also discussed prospects of potential collaboration in the RMG sectors between the two countries in capacity building and sharing experiences.

Hon'ble Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies graced the occasion as the Chief Guest which brought together chiefs of the apex business bodies including Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI), Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), Nepal Foreign Trade Association (NFTA), Federation of Nepal Cottage & Small Industries (FNCSI) etc.
