The Russian House in Bangladesh has successfully wrapped up its landmark, week-long film showcase, "Frames of Memory: From Moscow to Bangladesh". Launched on May 14 to honor the 81st anniversary of Great Victory Day, the extensive festival concluded today after captivating dozens
of university students, academics, and cinema enthusiasts across multiple districts.
The festival achieved regional reach by expanding beyond the capital city. In addition to daily screenings at the Russian House auditorium in Dhaka, special large-scale showcases were hosted
• at Cox’s Bazar International University (CBIU)
• and Daffodil International University (DIU).
Audiences were treated to screenings of classic Soviet masterpieces, including Ballad of a Soldier, Come and See, Ivan’s Childhood, They Fought for Their Country, and the grand finale, The Cranes Are Flying.
Each venue transformed into a vibrant cultural forum where young Bangladeshi minds explored the deep-rooted history of the Great Patriotic War, cinematic innovation, and the shared values of human resilience and peace.
We are deeply grateful to our Bangladeshi partner universities for their sustained efforts in uniting our cultures.
