A Powerful Evening of Cinema & Reflection at Russian House in Dhaka

On 8th April, 2026, Russian House in Dhaka hosted a special screening of the legendary film Ballad of a Soldier , bringing together future diplomats and distinguished guests for an evening of culture and meaningful dialogue.

Around future diplomats of Bangladesh attended the screening, highlighting the growing interest in cultural exchange and international understanding.
Among the esteemed guests were: Iqbal Ahmed , Director General, Foreign Service Academy Bangladesh, and Dr. Mizanur Rahman , President, Soviet Alumni Association Bangladesh.

In her opening remarks, Alexandra Alexandrovna reflected on the true cost of war , drawing a poignant parallel with the Bangladesh Liberation War, reminding the audience of the shared historical experiences and the value of peace.

Following the formal speeches, guests watched Ballad of a Soldier — a timeless story that continues to resonate across generations.

The evening concluded with engaging discussions and a shared appreciation of cinema as a bridge between cultures.
