UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres left Dhaka this morning at 9:55am, concluding his four-day visit to Bangladesh.

Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan and Chief Adviser's High Representative for the Rohingya Crisis Khalilur Rahman saw him off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Before his departure, Guterres spoke with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus over the phone and exchanged farewell greetings, officials said.

During his visit, the UN chief held meetings with the chief adviser and other high officials, discussing key issues including the Rohingya crisis and climate change. He accompanied by the chief adviser also visited the Rohingya refugee camps, where he shared an iftar meal with around 10 million Rohingya refugees.

Additionally, Guterres participated in roundtable discussions with members of the National Consensus Commission, political leaders, Bangladeshi youth, and civil society representatives.
