US Ambassador Brent Christensen holds first meeting with Tarique Rahman in Dhaka

Newly appointed envoy meets senior BNP leaders at the party’s Gulshan office

Newly appointed United States Ambassador to Bangladesh, Brent T Christensen, met BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on monday at the BNP office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
The meeting began at 3:56pm.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present, along with Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee member Humayun Kabir, and Advisory Council member Mahdi Amin.
Several officials from the US Embassy in Dhaka also attended the meeting.
Ambassador Christensen arrived in Dhaka on January 1, two days after taking the oath of office in Washington, DC.
