Uttara to Tongi College Gate flyover opens to public

The flyover from Uttara to Tongi College Gate area under the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project was opened to public this morning.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the 4.5km section of the project at an event in Tongi.

After inspecting the flyover, the minister said about 91 percent of the work of the entire BRT project has been completed, and 95 percent of the work on the elevated section from the House Building to Cherag Ali College Gate has been finished.

The entire project will be completed by September or October this year, he added.

The minister also said metro rail services will commence from Dhaka's Agargaon to Motijheel in September or October this year.
