Saudia, the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, hosted its Agents Excellence Award Ceremony in Dhaka to honour its leading travel agents in Bangladesh for their outstanding contributions in 2024.
The ceremony, held last evening, celebrated the vital role of travel partners in Saudia's growth and highlighted their contribution to expanding the airline's market presence in Bangladesh, said a press release here today.
Awards were presented by Musaed M. Almusaed, Assistant Vice President, International Regions; Tarik Alowaidi, Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar, Saudi Arabian Airlines; and Ahmed Yusuf Walid, Managing Director of United Link Ltd, General Sales Agent (GSA) of Saudia in Bangladesh.

In his remarks, Musaed M. Almusaed expressed deep appreciation for the support of Bangladesh's travel agents.
"Our growth and success in Bangladesh would not have been possible without the commitment and partnership of our top agents. Their efforts have helped Saudia achieve remarkable expansion while continuing to deliver exceptional service to our guests," he said.
Tarik Alowaidi said the journey of success has been built on the dedication of valued agents, business partners, and loyal passengers. "We are proud to recognize their contribution as Saudia continues to strengthen its footprint in the Bangladeshi market."
Ahmed Yusuf Walid delivered the vote of thanks, noting Saudia's growing appeal as a preferred carrier for long-haul travel to Europe and North America, in addition to its streamlined stopover visa programme which facilitates Umrah travel through www.saudia.com.
The awardee agents were Al-Gazi Travels Ltd, Al-Mareya Travels, Be Fresh Limited, Golden Bengal Tours & Travels, Hajee Air Travels Ltd, Suma International Services, Sundarban Air Travels & Tours, Sunshine Express Travel Inc, Triplovers Limited, Dynamic Travels, East West Travels & Tours (Pvt) Ltd, Shah Amanat Hajj Kafela Travels & Tours, Talon Corporation Ltd, Travelchamp Limited, and Valencia Air Travels & Tours Ltd.
Saudia recognized their top supporting agents based on total revenue contribution as well as their support to premium cabins in business and first class.
Saudia launched its first flight to Dhaka in 1980, connecting Bangladesh with key Saudi cities including Jeddah, Riyadh, and Medina.
Globally, Saudia operates one of the youngest fleets in the world, comprising 149 aircraft, and serves around 100 destinations across four continents. A member of IATA, AACO, and SkyTeam, the airline continues to receive international recognition for excellence in service and operational performance.
In 2025, Saudia was awarded "Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East" by Skytrax and ranked 17th globally. It also earned the prestigious "World Class Airline" title at the APEX World Class Awards for the fifth consecutive year.
