Awami Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash on Tuesday urged the people to cast votes in favor of Awami League in the next general election to continue development spree of the country.

"If people vote for Awami League in the upcoming parliamentary polls, they will lead a happy and prosperous life," he made the comments at a food distribution function for poor people at Amtoli Eidgah ground in Dhaka’s Mohakhali area.

Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, among others, addressed the function with acting president of Dhaka North City Jubo League Zakir Hossain Babul in the chair.

"If you look back a little, you will see what the situation was during the tenure of BNP-led government. How much was your income? What was the condition of the roads, educational opportunities and healthcare facilities?" Parash asked.

Referring to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's plan to build a “Smart Bangladesh”, he said people should be careful about any conspiracy to halt the development process in the country.
